One Minute Movies
was an idea I had while thinking about the
little scenes that play out around us during the
course of our day. I wanted to "paint" those
little scenes out for people on paper, and try
to make them as visual as I could while still
keeping the emotion and meaning alive. Some of
these are just meant to give a flash of color,
and some much more.
Lilacs Growing on a Barbed Wire Fence is
meant to be a contrast between soft and hard,
because the same sentence can have such a
different impact depending on the way it's said.
Or written, for that matter. To me, a lot of
poetry and writing is about the breaks, where
one thought ends and where another begins has a
great deal to do with the meaning of the whole
page. Dropping a word or phrase one line can
make something appear completely different.
